flower fields in spring

Tradition! We do this every year. This year was especially fantastic. Stella was maniacal,

picking flowers (a big no- no) and digging in the dirt like a gopher.

She was also running up and down this ramp used to board the tractor tour. At the bottom

of the ramp it had a rope blocking it off (ie, No Playing On The Ramp.) She got too excited,

and ran down, forgetting the rope was there. She clotheslined herself so hard that her chin

stuck on the rope, her feet flew up from under her, and she landed flat on her back. Daddy

was the comforter, but he was secretly so proud.

"Her first clotheslining! Do you know how many times I've done that?"

Ah, it is all making sense now.

Windiest day ever, but so so pretty.

Stella caught the eye of many a tractor driver...

going green

We had our lovely green feast at the Draegers' for St. Patty's. It's tradition! Green mac n cheese, green soda, even the lemon bars went green... large amounts of corned beef and potatoes... it was delicious! Stella loved the guacamole most of all.

Have you ever been to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad?
We went this weekend and loved it.
Stella was the prettiest flower there.
It's a nice was to celebrate Spring - then after you are done,
the Outlet shops are right across the street. Perfect!
